Toggle between 3 display modes by pressing 'Set / Blank' button
Timebase is mains AC - works with 50 Hz and 60 Hz for excellent long-term time stability
24 or 12 hour modes
Slimline design - all components on a single PCB
IN-12 tubes are socketed, so no difficult soldering required
Fading Nixies - digits softly fade in and out, or you can select standard change of digits

The kit of parts is fully inclusive - 117 parts in total!

The clock kit is fully inclusive:

All electronic components are included - 115 parts in all.
4 X IN-12 Nixie tubes for hours and minutes
2 X IN-17 Nixie tubes for seconds
2 X Neon bulbs for hours:minutes separators
44 socket pins for the IN-12 Nixie tubes (Often called 'Mouser' pins, they are actually gold plated sockets made by Harwin)
Double sided, plated through hole PCB
Fully pre-programmed PIC microcontroller, with socket

Uses AC power supply (9-12VAC) This is not supplied - It is more economical for the winning bidder to buy a suitable adapter locally, suitable for local power outlet type.

Assembled clock kit type 'Frank 3', ready for mounting in a case of your own design

The kit comes with (via link to download site) a 20 page fully detailed user instruction guide to assembly. The assembly instructions include many detailed photos, and step - by - step instructions for building, testing and using the clock. The link is in the end-of auction email sent by ebay, so please look carefully through this email for the link.

The two buttons have the following functions:

SW1: Set / Blank
SW2: Up / Reset Seconds

Setting the time:
Press and hold 'Set / Blank' button for 3 seconds until the seconds flashes '24'. Toggle between 12 and 24 hour modes by pressing the 'Up / Reset Secs' button.

Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again and the minutes will flash. Press the 'Up / Reset Secs' button to set the minutes.

Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again and the hours will flash. Press the 'Up / Reset Secs' button to set the hours.

Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' again to revert to normal clock operation.

Display modes:
Briefly Press 'Set / Blank' button to toggle between display modes:
Blank - save tubes or for night time
Standard change of digits
Fading digits - digits softly fade in and out

Resetting seconds:
From normal clock operation, press and hold 'Up / Reset Secs' button for 2 seconds. Seconds will be set to zero, and held until the button is released.

The finished 'Frank 3' clock board is very slim.
